VMDirect Expert Review by Brian Garvin and Jeff West
Streaming video has become a method for watching music videos, movies, even current television shows. It is also a great business tool for presentations. Unfortunately, the average user may not be able to use this method due to cost, lack of equipment or even knowledge. This is where VMDirect comes in to help people learn how to use streaming video and how to launch a business doing it.
In 2001, after the nation was shaken by the events of 9/11, VMDirect founders Craig Ellins and Amy Black recreated the company they had been running into what it is today after suffering through the market crash. Instead of going with a typical sales company, Ellins and Black decided to market their ideas using the direct sales approach. The product they sold: multimedia packages that they felt would help consumers be able to self-publish their works and make them feel empowered over the Internet. Today, VMDirect’s products have helped contribute to the two billion dollars a year being spent on streaming video.
HelloWorld is the VMDirect main product. It includes five separate programs geared to organizing all of the digital media found on the customer’s computer system and enables them to be able to share this with others via the Internet. It includes tools for video e-mail, video instant messaging, personal blogs, a media vault, and digital organizing. More information on each product can be found on a link that takes you to a streaming video outlining each function. These products are offered to the customers in three separate monthly packages that range in price from $9.95 for some basic tools to $39.95 for everything VMDirect has to offer.
They offer four different plans to allow a customer to become a sales affiliate. The Basic package, which costs $79.00 plus tax to enroll in with a monthly fee of $49.00 a month for service, is perfect for someone that is looking to make a residual commission and working on a part time basis. VMDirect provides the affiliate with basic aspects of the HelloWorld package. The other packages, starting at $299.00 plus tax and shipping and handling with a $69.00 monthly fee, offer the same as the basic package, but with more bells and whistles.
Each package is geared to help the sales affiliate build their business, from a small family based endeavor to a large profit bearing organization. VMDirect also hosts each affiliates website. Information on training and other support offered by the company is once again presented in a video stream format. Compensation information is also presented this way. This is an innovative way to present your company, but it could also be a turn-away for anyone working with a computer system that has a slow processor.
Based on the starting packages offered by VMDirect, this would not be a good fit for anyone in a low income bracket or who does not have some advanced knowledge of computer systems and how they work. Many of the items the company is offering can be found in comparable programs at your local computer retailer. A prospective affiliate may want to contact the company for further information before committing to this business. It is also well advised to cost compare other products that may do the same thing to know whether or not this is a marketable and lucrative venture.
