Sold in a variety of different stores, they have also become a staple of direct selling businesses around the world. Unicity International offers a large product line of items designed to make your life better.
Unicity International was formed in 2001 when Enrich International and the popular drug company Rexall merged. Both companies were involved in preventative healthcare, anti-aging research, and wellness. The company was a global concern by 2006 and currently has more than 350,000 independent business associates around the world. The Unity Make Life Better Foundation has helped raise money for charitable organizations such as the Make A Wish Foundation and Orphans Around The World. The company has their own medical board of advisors on staff to help with research of the various products.
Unicity International product line starts with herbal supplements designed for digestion, heart health, bone and joint health, and many others. Each product lists the herbs used in the formula, the benefits provided and the cost. The company also offers two lines of personal hygiene products that include skin creams, shampoos, and sun blocks. The product line includes weight-loss products made from natural herbs and minerals. The product information pages include an option for adding the product to a shopping cart for purchase. Prices start as low as $26.00 and go as high as $150.00. Holiday sales and monthly specials are featured on the website.
Direct selling opportunities for Unicity International are available for interested persons. Called the Bios Life franchise, the company offers training on all products carried. Each seller has access to a back office that is stocked with business tools such as a volume checker, a website builder, mailing labels, business forms and product information sheets. Information on starting an individual franchise is included on the site as a streaming video presentation that can be viewed immediately or downloaded for later viewing.
Prospective Unicity International sellers are advised to fill out a registration form and submit it to the company. There is a Power Point presentation to view that outlines fall 2007’s requirements for the many bonuses available. Based on the presentation, this company sells their product via a pyramid scheme formula. There are many business tools available to be purchased from the Enrich International website, but there is no additional information as to the cost of a start-up kit or the basic commissions sellers receive.
It is difficult to determine whether of not Unicity International is a good fit for anyone wanting to start their own direct selling business. There is no information available to make a truly informed decision and contacting Unicity International seems to be the only way to gain additional information.
Some of the product cost for Unicity International is high and this venture may not be attainable for people on a low or fixed income. Because the average person can purchase product directly from the website, this may be another deciding factor in whether or not to start a franchise business. This is definitely a company that requires some homework in order to make a well-informed decision.
