Send Out Cards Expert Review by Brian Garvin and Jeff West
We have become so use to emailing everything, letters, newsletters and now even birthday cards or any other greeting card. There are tons of ways to send greeting cards online like Send Out Cards and it seems that with all the junk emails, there are a lot that are deleted before they are ever seen.
When was the last time you received a greeting card in the mail and in your email like Send Out Cards? Which one made more of an impression? If your answer is the real card that came in the mail, then you are like everyone else.
But we have become so use to just clicking on something, hitting the send button, or typing in a web address to get things done. It seems that going to the Post Office is a major project and so inconvenient. Besides, who wants to spend an hour waiting in line at the post office.

Send Out Cards is a company that will give you the opportunity to be one of the few who sends out the “real” cards, delighting every recipient of a fun, creative, personal and signed card. This is a great tool to help you get the cards sent out on time, not having to worry about missing those important dates of your family and friends.
You are able to send a printed greeting card, with your own personal message. You can choose it, write your message and click send all within 60 seconds. Send Out Cards will print it, stuff it and mail it for you. And these will all cost you less than it would be at a greeting card store.
Imagine the work saved for you at Christmas time, sending out your cards, with even a family picture if you like, with just a click. You can be a part of this system by having your own business at home.
The only purchase you will need to make is the Send Out Cards $99 distributor kit. There is no product to be purchased, your presentation folder will be in your kit. You will have your own website which will include order and credit card processing. You will also get product samples and instructions.
There are seven ways to earn with Send Out Cards:
1. Customer Direct Sales Profits: You will have a card bank of cards where your retail customer will shop. The customer pays you directly and for the use of the system. You will have sold the customer an Annual Account Pre-Paid Greeting Card. This account is used to purchase the card and stamps.
2. Retail profits from Preferred customers (paid monthly) Purchases are credited to your account. Volume commissions are paid on the points that are sold.
3. Coaching Bonus from New Distributor accounts (paid weekly basis) A customer can purchase a Wholesale Package Plus for $298, and receive a coaching session from you. You will receive $120 bonus after coaching is completed.
4. Coaching Bonus from New Distributor accounts (paid weekly) when someone in your group purchases the Entrepreneur Pkg Plus for $398, you will provide the coaching for them and receive a $120 bonus. And if there is coaching done in your downline, you can receive a bonus from $15 to $50 per coaching session.
5. Treat em Right Seminar Bonus (paid weekly) You will receive a bonus when reps in your group attend this seminar. The bonus ranges from $5 to $30 per attendee.
6. 7-level Volume Bonus: paid on the greeting cards that are sold in your entire group (paid monthly)
7. Leadership Volume Bonus: this is paid on greeting cards sold on unlimited levels within your group. Ranges between 5% and 25% depending on ranks of leadership.
You can take advantage of this new trend and have your own business at home by working with Send Out Cards. Check it out.

Hey Guys,
One thing I’d like to add, the $99 distributor kit is the one required by law to be offered and doesn’t allow commissions or bonuses when someone signs up, and the personal volume requirement would have to come from retail customers. The entrepreneur account is the one to get if doing it as a business.

My husband and I started with SendOutCards two months ago, and am amazed at the value this service is. From welcoming new neighbors to the neighborhood with a card and brownies, to a get well card for a friend. Where can you design a card and write a personal message , sign it with your own signature – all done on the computer – and hit the “send” button and within a short time they have received it. You don’t have to go to the store to buy the card or have the stamps on hand to mail it. Then all of this for less than a $1.00!!!- on recycled paper and several thousand top quality cards to choose from!!

My wife and I just got started with Send Out Cards late last year. We got in it for 2 reasons. One we are always looking for that one thing that we can do together now and when the kids have grown. The other is the fact that it is the greatest idea we have heard of in a long time.
I get excited just thinking about the concept of choosing a card, write a message, and hit send. Within a few days the person on the other end receives the card with my personal hand writing. It’s awsome. To me any money made is just bonus.
If you would like, just visit http:www.sendoutcards.com/kmfrank and we can show you how easy and fun it can be for you too.

I can see the point from a business perspective being sent to multiple customers at Xmas time, but if I ever received a “Send Out Card” from a friend, it would carry somewhat of a distant message and I’d be less than impressed. I’d rather get an email – hand-typed by that person for something like a birthday or other special occasion. Next thing you know, there’ll be companies that call other peoples friends to see how they’re doing!

Scott, I think you missed the point entirely!
The card you send with SendOutCards IS very personalized! You can select from thousands of cards, using their verses or completely adding your own. Mostly a combination of the two.
Even add your own signature!
Plus, we usually upload a photo on the card that the recipient will enjoy, and makes it very fun. AND we can add a gift card (like JambaJuice or Starbucks) in the card…. or even send gifts like brownies.
I’m tired of ecards… I like a card from a friend that I can display and remember them.
It’s the most personalized card and one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a very long time.

Truthfully, I am new to SOC. But already just by using it on a personal basis I have reconnected with a son I was only on cordial terms with. I put a personal picture on the front and put a HEARTFELT message on the inside. The day he received it he called and our relationship is renewed on a whole new basis.
If this were the only thing I ever did with SOC it would be worth more than $398!!! SOC is about sustaining, and strengthening personal and business relationships. At this stage of my life it’s all about the relationships.
If I make an income from this amazing product, as I expect I will, then it will be a bonus. Don’t believe any of us. Check it out for yourself. 3w’s then dot sendoutcards dotcom/ livingart

Send Out Cards is the biggest waste of money ever. We were promised that it would be a great asset to our business and in a nutshell we were robbed. The software is outdated and in-accurate. We designed numbers of cards to be sent to clients as thank yous and follow ups for using our company. Some of them were returned for whatever reason and we saw the poor products that were sent to represent our business. We were told that the post cards often get ruined in the mail and to use the cards instead. Why would they offer something they can not stand behind?! For Christmas we sent out cards to friends, family, and clients and again we were very disappointed in the product. About 1/2 inch of the artwork designed was cut off on every card. We were so embarassed that we were using this disgusting company to represent us as both a business and a family.
Furthermore, when the problem has been brought to the attention of supervisors we were ignored. Don’t waste your money on something that really isn’t that important anyways. I’d rather spend more money on a QUALITY CARD COMPANY, I’d rather spend more money and more time… KNOWING that what I am sending will not look like it’s been through a paper shredder first.

Tanya it sounds like you had a horrible experience.
I must say I have had the opposite experience when it comes to sending and receiving cards from Send Out Cards. I actually started using the system for my business and found how amazing it is. I have sent post cards, two panel and three panel cards all with great success.
I did have a question about how the quality would be when I first started so I sent cards to myself to check them out. The printing is amazing. If you load your own picture it comes out fantastic and now with the new system you can even design better cards than before.
I have mentioned it to other business owners that are now using the system with no complaints on quality or service. Trust me if they had a problem with the service they would definitely let me know.
You also mentioned that you did not get help from the service department. I find this interesting as I have had nothing but great service on the occasions that I have called. They are quick to respond and help if at all possible.
I have used the system now for the last 2 years. It has been great from the start however it is even more impressive now as they continually invest and improve the system.

Wow – Tanya – pretty harsh…I have used SOC for three years now as a tool for my Promotional Products business – it’s has been a blessing and has brought in thousands of dollars in reorders and new business from keeping in touch with clients and prospects alike. The new Picture Plus 2.0 is very cool and gives me even more options to grow my business – try for yourself before you listen to those who don’t get it.
July 16, 2010
This message board sounds like one big convention for Send Out Cards. All you jokers marketing yourselves on the same thread is too overwhelming. If you made money from this business, good for you, but stop with your cheesy testimonials.
July 18, 2010
Have any of you seen the cards? They are blurry and look sloppy. I know, I’ve gotten quite a few. I wasn’t impressed with their quality.
July 30, 2010
Gee I have gotten some cards from a supplier of mine and they were awesome. I wonder if the person who created the card imported a low quality image, I have noticed that with a lot of publications, the image looks fine on the computer but not so hot in print. I stumbled across this site and am not even a member of Send Out Cards but thought I would put in my two cents
August 7, 2010
Tanya,
We spent the $400+ to send out 75-100 cards on the premise that “the product will sell itself”. Yesterday I spent about 5 hours using the new Picture Plus 2.0 designing 22 cards for graduation party invites typing up a personal message in each card. Just for fun I wanted to show my wife the cards that had been sent out and almost all of them were missing the text I had typed into them and many were missing the pictures of my family I included on the inside.
I am not sure how an inferior product like this is supposed to sell itself. As I look around the SOC website today I am no longer blind to what a scam this is but see it through a jaundiced eye. Out of the 10 buttons you can select on the main menu 1 is for actually using this product (sending out cards) the other 9 are dedicated to propagating this multi-level marketing scam. Also, when you click on the FAQ link about 5% of the FAQs are dedicated to making/sending out cards, the rest are dedicated to answering questions about selling the system.
If you take notice, Linda Bardes, Tim Somers, James George, Charles Everett, and the like use most of their comments talking about selling and marketing their products and the supposed income they bring in. Very little is dedicated to outright praise of the product and for good reason. It’s outrageously expensive to just use SOC to send out cards but it’s not so bad when you deceive others into “investing” in this product. I’m sure there will be impassioned defenses for SOC to follow below saying how “personal” the product is, how “great Picture Plus” is, or how “profitable” this scam is. This is one scam you can skip, at least the text you handwrite into cards you purchase for $1.99 at Hallmark will actually be in there when they arrive.

this is bullshit, its a pyriamid scheme
August 10, 2010
I agree with Donye that it is a pyramid scheme, but disagree that that automatically means it’s BS, at least if he means by that that you can’t make money doing it. Pyramid schemes/MLMs can be valid business models whether their product is to send out cards or sell toilet paper. I think the model is a bit unideal and often predatory but it certainly can be functional from a business standpoint.

Is anybody really making over 10k a year with this? If not for all the time and energy you could just pump gas part-time and call it a day and not harass your friends and family members…. Eagerly waiting to hear from you.
November 2, 2010
This produce really is nothing more than another MLM which will lose friends and alienate clients. Takes TOO long for a card to be mailed, and the postage is extra.
Customer Service is non existent.
Avoid this at ALLL costs.
Amen
November 17, 2010
Sendoutcards is a great business. It is a great way to act on my prompting to send someone a card when I am thinking of them. I love getting a card that I can hold in my hand and file away if I want to. I don’t believe in “electrocuting” people with e-mail “cards” – to me that is so impersonal. By the way Marko, every time I call customer service, I am never disappointed. I have rebuilt my relationships with friends and family after they received my cards!
Corporations are the biggest pyramid schemes in the world! A janitor could never make more that a president. In MLM, I could earn much more than the person who is 5 levels higher than me.
Those folks who can think outside their box will succeed. Other’s will be very happy or unhappy where they are in their limited thinking. We choose the kind of life we want.

scam! Scam! Scam!

Why the Haters? People! Send out Cards ROCKS! The customers service couldn’t be nicer! They are in Utah for crying out loud! The product is Top Shelf. I’m getting calls and messages from people who absolutely Love getting these custom Cards and the Brownies are Delicious!
When Netflix 1st came out I was really skeptical of that to. But look at them now. Hollywood video is gone and Blockbuster just declared Bankruptcy right? You know the say “Build a better mouse trap and people will beat a path to your door.” I like most people now use netflix. Its better , Faster and Cheaper and So is SEND OUT CARDS! I love the way it makes me feel when people receive what I sent them and they call to thank me. Then the next thing they wanna know is how I made that card. I simply send them to the website and let them send a card and the next thing you know they’re hooked!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
February 8, 2011
Send out personalized cards, including postage, with a couple of clicks? For $1.05? I just don’t see the problem. If someone is screaming “scam” they ought to take a long hard look in the mirror.
February 17, 2011
I signed up over a year ago during their upgrade to a new system and it was a mess, so I got my refund and thinking of signing up again. It sounds like a great concept and I tried the sample cards to send and it was great. I even sent myself a card to see how it was. There wasn’t a problem, however I am concerned about putting out more money to not at least see some type of return.
March 20, 2011
I was wondering why past SOC users are continually switching to our service. So, I did some research (ok, a lot of research) by reading every word of the SOC website, and searching for reviews, blogs and articles pertaining to SOC. Wow, all my questions were answered, over and over again.
Our Description: I work with a small Midwestern greeting card company (The Birthday Company) which offers a similar service but with some very distinct differences. We provide birthday, special occasion, and holiday card mailings on behalf of our customers, which number just over 1200 nationally. The customer’s client list is fully assessable and managed through their secure online account where they can add, delete, and edit clients. Customers can also customize messages and include gifts with prices starting at just $2.95 per card mailing which includes postage. All cards, regardless of occasion are just $2.95. Yes, Send Out Cards is cheaper if you look at just the cost-per-unit price, but this doesn’t factor in all the start up costs and ongoing membership fees. If you were sending 5000+ cards a year, Send Out Cards might be a good deal. I wonder how many Send Out Card distributors are using the service to send even 100 cards annually.
Let’s be fair SOC really do a great job. Making it easy for any business to send cards to clients is a great concept, and I do believe they provide a great service for people who are concerned with price over quality or the negative perception of their clients. There are some major differences in our business models.
WE DO NOT CHARGE JUNK FEES. These are categorized as needless signup, subscription, or membership costs to the user. We are not a MLM scheme and have no desire to be one, no matter how lucrative is has become for some. Our customers only pay for what’s mailed on their behalf. There are NO contracts or any type of obligation to continue, allowing customers to give us a try and cancel with a simple email. What about Send Out Cards, do they offer to refund any fees if the distributor decides their service isn’t for them? I really don’t know but I’ll guess some of the SOC distributors.
Everything we mail includes the customer’s return address, not ours. There is NO company branding on anything we mail. Our greeting cards are REAL, not printed on glossy UV coated business card stock. Our cards are manufactured here in the U.S., the same company who supplies most of the greeting cards for Cards Direct, Carlson Cards, and about 40 national chain stores. These are the same greeting cards you will find at any department store or pharmacy. What about Send Out Cards?
The customer’s signatures are scanned and converted at such a high resolution they appear real when printed, not a low resolution scan printed on a UV coated card (slippery like a glossy business card) which appears fake to anyone. I once had a customer comment on why they switched to our service. “If I want my clients to receive something with an out-of-state return address and a fake signature, I’ll just send them an email and save my money”. Basically, if you’re going to spend any money sending a card, make sure it represents the same high regard you have for your clients. Showing clients how much you appreciate their business with a greeting card and/or gift is an important tool for any professional or business, but taking shortcuts by sending something that was obviously not signed or mailed by you is just a waste of time and money. Taking shortcuts also destroys the original intent of the card, and more importantly, damages the client’s perception of the person who sent it. This leaves many clients wondering “If my Financial Advisor (Realtor, CPA, Insurance Agent, Dentist, etc.) can’t even send a real card signed and mailed them self, I wonder what other shortcuts they’re taking managing my account (real estate, health, etc).
In spite of some not-so-great features, I’m afraid Send Out Cards is here to stay just like the cologne/perfume sales people who solicit our business twice a month, offering their knock offs, and a % of sales if we start selling the junk ourselves and recruit others to do the same, or our neighbor (stay home mom) who’s constantly harassing my wife to host a party selling knives, cookware, home cleaning supplies, or who knows what. It seems like a great offer in which my wife would host a party in our own home and to our friends and family (people who trust us and don’t want to say no) in which she would receive a certain % of the sales plus discounts for anything she purchased herself, and another % of sales done by anyone my wife recruits to hosts the same parties. Oh yeah, there’s only a small investment of a few hundred dollars and an agreement which basically states my wife would become a distributor for our neighbor and cannot sell the product for any other representatives of said company. Wow, paying someone to sell their products for them, sign me up. Does this sound at all similar to SOC? Maybe some current SOC distributors can answer this since I honestly don’t know.
For anyone interested in finding out more about our company, simply do a search for “The Birthday Company” or go to http://www.birthdayco.com. We also have a short Demo Video on the website which shows the contact management system and explains some special features.
May 1, 2011
Hmmm @David (Birthday Card) Chase. If your service is so great and so much better…then why haven’t you added a direct selling/NWM feature???? Any company that hijacks a competition company’s thread to stick their chest out and beat on it like Tarzan and gloat—is not a company I want to do business with–or reccommend to others! I commend the owners @ SOC for making it a legit NM/MLM company to allow average people the ability to earn an income and change their lives. And NO! I’m not a reseller. Just an ordinary retail customer who uses my account from time to time—with smashing raves from family & friends!
June 3, 2011
My kid and I have this as a part time business and it’s giving me a good income. I was just started that actually my son has introduced it to me.
August 2, 2011
Nobody has responded to Jack. He asked if anyone makes over 10k a year? As a network marketer I am asked about my income all the time. I am able to say off the top of my head that I did 68 (3 hours a piece) parties in 2010 & profited $62,000. Why is nobody on this thread speaking to the actual income they earn? When you are in an MLM business that kind of money talk can’t be a secret. It has to be on the forefront of your conversation. Skip the emotional pitch and give the numbers if this is a legitimate business.
November 8, 2011
I agree. I would like to hear how much income people are making. I think it is a simple question.
