Healthy living has become a way of life for many people and everyone is looking for nutritional supplements to improve themselves. In addition to taking the supplements, adventurous souls who are looking to make some extra money can sell them as well. One of the best testimonials a product can have is the person who is selling it.

Seaborne is a nutritional health supplement direct marketing company based of Honolulu, Hawaii. Two medical doctors aid the company in formulating their products and the company is involved in organizations like the Council for Responsible Nutrition, a trade association who represent ingredient suppliers and manufacturers. They are part of the Direct Selling Association and they are very active in promoting chitin, a natural product found in shellfish, a form of glucosimine. Any person who is allergic to shellfish should not use any of the products made by Seaborne.

The company carries two products. Essential Sea Max is a soft gel capsule that is a dietary supplement. It contains chitin products as well as Lecithin, Vitamin E and C, Beta-Carotene, and Garlic Powder. Essential Gold Plus is another dietary supplement that comes in granulated packets form. Where as the Sea Max provides 180 mg. per three capsules, the Gold Plus provides 300 mg. per packet. It also provides Beta-Carotene, Vitamin C, and mushroom extract. There is no recommended amount for individuals to take, but one bottle or box of packets is approximately one to two month supply. Prices for product are not listed on the website.

These products are only sold by network marketers in the United States. Individuals interested in selling the product can become marketers by contacting the President of the company. Marketers can earn up to 55% retail profit and unlimited overrides up to 25%. There are no territories to worry about, the method is easy to learn, and there are no inventory requirements. There is no fee to join and potential marketers get shipping for a month free. Seaborne also offers on-going training for all of the marketers.

Unfortunately it is hard to tell if this company is still in business. The last news release on the site was done in 2005. There is no additional information regarding how the marketing plan works and no way to tell if it is a pyramid scheme or some other type of direct selling plan. There are no prices for the two items Seaborne sells and unless interested parties call to contact a marketer, there is no other way to get information.

At this point, this business opportunity is not a lucrative venture for anyone. There is not enough information on the website to make an informed decision regarding the validity of the website or the business itself. Knowing that potential marketers could earn up to 55% does not help make a decision when there is no base figure to determine it off of. Seaborne products could also be potentially dangerous for people who are allergic to product containing shellfish, such as lobster and crabs, or mushrooms as this is also used to manufacture the supplement.
