Global Prosperity Group Expert Review by Brian Garvin and Jeff West

By Brian and Jeff On March 29, 2009 Under MLM-Programs-G

Whether you are looking for a way to get into business with MLM opportunities, or you are hoping to turn your fortune around with network marketing, chances are, you’ve heard something about the Global Prosperity Group. The Global Prosperity Group is an MLM business that was turning over brisk business during the early nineties, but there have been persistent problems and issues that go along with this well-known organization.

The Global Prosperity Group is one that has managed to get itself a extremely bad reputation when it comes to network marketing, to the point where other network business will state flat out that they have no association with it. What do you need to know about the Global Prosperity Group?

The Global Prosperity Group essentially functioned by giving its members scripts to read that would recruit others into attending seminars which seemed to be about nothing more profitable than the value of attending seminars. Similarly, this company offered what it called Pure Trusts, things which supposedly did not not need to be reported to the IRS.

If this sounds shady, that is because it is; the IRS can definitely find these trusts, regardless of what the Global Prosperity Group said about the three tier system being exempt. This did result in a lot of people who trusted this MLM opportunity being charged with tax evasion. In any case, the people who got involved with the concepts offered by this company almost universally wished that they had not.

The Global Prosperity Group did manage to snowball in an impressive way, racking up a long list of clients who were drawn in by what many different reviewers and competitors called faked legalese. At its heart, this company did essentially offer something for nothing, which made it very attractive during the new boom of networking marketing that was occurring at the time.

In 1997, the Global Prosperity Group did sink, with the person who organized it leaving the country, but interestingly enough, offshoots of this company, from people who had worked with it resurrecting it. The internet, in some ways, has an extremely short memory, and despite many warnings and testimonials, they are still luring people in.

There really hasn’t even been a name change, and still people are diving in to use the automated scripts and to hear more about unreported trusts. Whether you are new to the game or you’ve been in it for a long time, this is one opportunity that needs a legitimate pass!
