Global Domains International Expert Review by Brian Garvin and Jeff West
Michael Reed and Alan Ezeir founded Global Domains International, also known as GDI. Being an online business you have to have a domain. That is just the way the Internet works. Your customers need to be able to find you or you won't be doing too well.
When the Internet was really starting to grow, each country was assigned a domain name such as United Kingdom is .uk, the United States is .us, etc.... So, Michael and Alan had an idea to somehow get into this. They started searching every domain name for every country and finally found one that was so small that they would be able to use it and market it. This was the domain .ws that was actually for the Nation of Samoa.
In November 2000, .WS was part of the Global Domains International community. They had sold over 100,000 .WS registrations to customers such as Yahoo, Intel, Cisco, Dell Computer and other individuals in over 180 countries.
The Nation of Samoa now receives a percentage of all the profits that Global Domains International generates and is very happy with the company's success.
Everyone is looking for the perfect domain name. .COM being the top and most sought after name. Just to give you an example of the domain names and how many are registered, I was able to find this information and these amounts are from 2006.
1. 47,750,971.com
2. 7,377,709.net
3. 4,377,709.org
4. 2,466,253.info
5. 1,322,422.us
Now you can see why Global Domains International was so excited to start another domain. The numbers are much greater than that now. Speaking from experience, it is very hard to find a domain that has not already been taken, and they are also being resold at much higher prices.
Now that Global Domains International is offering the .WS domain names, there are people from all over the world that want to check them out. When Global Domains International sells a domain name, they include the web hosting, which every website need and email support.
What happens if you do decide to do this and have your own site? What happens when someone goes there and purchases a $10 domain name?
1. First, you the owner of the site will get a commission and will continue to get this commission every month as long as they keep their domain name.
2. The purchaser of the domain name gets the name, website hosting and the email account all for $10 a month. Their first 7 days are free for them to see if this is the right name for them.
3. Now that person will also get set up with exactly the same type of website where they purchased their domain name as they are now an owner of a GDI.WS website. If they like the product, then they can make money by referring others to Global Domains International. They can either sell the domain names or encourage them to take advantage of the business opportunity.
The way you make money in Global Domains International is to get a lot of people who want a domain name, there may be some that want to buy several. If you have 10 people on your first level, they sell domains to 6 and they sell to 3, they get 2, and those 2 get 1, then you have 970 people in your downline. You will get commission from everyone of them every month. Definitely a Multi-Level company, but it may work.
I don't know how much you need to invest once you decide want to sell, it will be more than the $10 for the domain name. You will need to talk to a rep on that one.
