Brian & Jeff:
I hope to clear up some of your questions about Dubli although some of them are easy to find.
“A post I read from a forum as of the time of writing this is that the company only made an average of one sale per day.”
My question is whos web site is this from and how out dated is that comment? Because DubLi has at least 3 unique auctions ending every day. This does not include whos buying from the other two auctions.
“They have two different auction methods from what I can see on their site.” DubLi has three auctions. The Express Auction, Zero, and Unique. How did you only see two auctions? They also have the Shopping Portal.
“with this system the lowest single bidder wins the auction. I can’t seem to wrap my standard auction thinking brain around why this company would do this.”
The reverse auction allows for far greater savings on products. And they can make a lot of money from this concept.
“The other thing I thought was strange was that Dubli offered a “Mystery Car” someone purchased for about $8,900 that retailed at $26,000. Sure it’s great to get a bargain on a car, but who would buy a car they haven’t seen for almost 9k?”
How do you get “$8,900″ when in your picture above says it sold for $8,000.50. Do you even do any research behind this? And the car actually retails at $37,000 NOT $26,000. Who wouldn’t buy, bid, or want a brand new BMW, Audi, or Benz valued at $37,000 when it could be bought at $8000? Your cray not to want this.
“Other than quoting the statistics on how well eBay is doing”
What statistics because last I checked, eBays stock is off nearly 70% since 2004. Sorry, but eBay faces some tough times ahead of them.
“They also say this goes on multiple levels, but couldn’t find details anywhere on the exact amounts paid. This is something else that concerns me is the information is so vague.”
Again, what homework did you do? If you type in DubLi into Google, click the DubLi Network page and you will find all the information there in great detail for you. How did you not find this?
“The site seems like more of a lottery than an auction site.” If you spend more than $0.80 you will get quite the deals.
Hope this helps clear up your questions regarding DubLi. Look DubLi is new, people don’t like new things till they get used to them, and they judge. DubLi has been around for almost one year and since then, DubLi has proven themselves time after time. If you like to learn more visit http://www.funshoppingusa.com. They have a great deal of good information on this site.
