Their main pitch is that they will pay you to read email and engage in Social Networking activities that you would do anyway, and that they will pay you on multiple levels for referring others to do this.

The company does have a free signup option. Once you signup free they put 3 cents in your account for signing up. When I first logged into the People String back office, I noticed that they allow you to purchase People Dollars. You can purchase 100 People Dollars for $1.00. You can pay for these with Paypal, Credit Card, and even charge these to your Cell Phone with the Boku and Zong service.

To give a couple examples of how far these People Dollars go with People String, you can join Netflix and rent unlimited movies for 850 People Dollars. Keep in mind you’ll still have to pay for your movie rentals later, this fee is just to become a member of Netflix. Or you can take the IQ Booster quiz for 269 dollars. And for 875 People Dollars you can get a guide that shows you how to earn $3,000 each month on ebay.

People String Network pays you six levels deep for referring other people into their network. Once you signup they send you an email asking you to complete their Mailbox Cash Survey and attend their free webinar to find out more details about their program. Once you complete your Mailbox Cash Survey they will send you a card in the mail so you can verify your mailing address. Once you do this you will receive $1.50. Also they say every time you tell a friend you will earn another 50 cents.

Once you are in their back office they also have free games you can play as well. So if you are one of those game addicts that likes to play free games you could get a little value out of this. People String also offers rebate and cash back percentages usually around 3-5 percent on multiple categproes in their store from a lot of major retailers like Target, Hollywood Mega Store and the NFL Shop.

I started digging a little deeper on the People String program, since I couldn’t really find out the upgrade incentives on their website or back office. But I did read that they pay out 70 percent of their advertising revenue to their members. If you are a free member you will make 5 percent on direct referrals and 2 percent on levels 2-6. If you are an Entrepreneur Member which is a paid member, you’ll receive 20 percent on direct referrals and 6 percent on levels 2-6.

It does look like the People String Founders socked a small fortune into their website and back office. To upgrade will cost you $200.00. Upgraded members get paid every 2 weeks. You will have to bring in quite a few people to earn that back. You can pay them through Credit Card or Paypal. I’m not saying this company doesn’t have a chance, but my Google Search didn’t find much at all on any income earners for this program.

Unless you have a massive email list I don’t see the advantages yet of upgrading since it will take bringing in about 400 people to make this back. However I don’t think this program is a straight scam either, but I have yet to ever see a get paid to use a Social Network program survive long term yet. But history is made everyday on the Internet in one form or another so all we can do is to sit back and see how this company pans out. If anyone has experienced any real success with People String please let us know.

Once you move up in commission from level to level, you are paid on that level for all of your distributors back to your first three, and from this point on, retroactively. This company pays 12 levels deep, and with a full organization you could potentially have 531,441 people in theory of course. You make money on everyone below you whether or not you enrolled them yourself.

Pure Energy Club also has that is called the “Free Placement Program”. This program benefits and rewards the builders in the company. If you are actively recruiting, it is likely that you will receive members in your downline from corporate recruiting efforts.

These Corporate Placements are paid at the full commission rate, just like if you recruited these people yourself. This company also offers a Free Powerline System to paying members which will further enhance and speed up their MLM Recruiting efforts.

The partners that make up this company are Michelle Seward, Scott Foulk and Mark Francovich which claim to have 4 decades of investment and financial know how behind them. The owners also state they launched Protege Financial because they really care about their clients and set this company up with an MLM Compensation Plan to help spread the word across the United States. Apparently they officially just launched July 4th 2009.

Apparently these 3 partners have already helped thousands of clients. When I visited their website they do have their actual office address, phone and fax number prominently visible on their website, so it appears they are not hiding. One of the main products they offer their clients are “Tax Free Income” vehicles that people can use to help hedge the low wages they could experience when they retire.

When I visit the Protege Financial website, I don’t see any credential logos like CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or BBB (Better Business Bureau) or anything like that nor any Internet Trust Logos. I’m not a professional Website Designer and I could throw this website up within one night easy. The company that designed their site is based out of Idaho. Also I couldn’t find details on how much reps get paid for referrals or the MLM Compensation Structure.

In addition, the website just had those generic type paid videos which appear to be a standard voice over. I’ve heard the same voice on many other voice overs used for other companies so they don’t sound original or sound like they come from the owners. And no pictures of the owners on the website, not even with their bio statements.

This being the end of August 2009 and the fact that they launched launched July 4th 2009, I assume this site would have been completed by now. Add this to the fact that it is an investment company to be honest almost terrifies me. Money is hard to come by these days, and on the occasion when I am able to save a grand or so I like to put it in a Mutual Fund setup by my bank which is a major bank in the US.

Protege Financial does offer a free consultation. When you get to the website, all you need to do is fill out a form and someone will end up calling you back. And if you live in or are visiting Southern California, they have Career Opportunity Meetings every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm (as of the time of this writing) Pacific Time.

I noticed a testimonials section on the Protege Financial website. It had 7 testimonials with just two initials under each name. Finally the company offers a free ebook just by filling out your Name, Email, City and State. This ebook is supposed to educate you on the basic types of Investment Vehicles that are out there.

I’m not accusing this company of being a scam. They could very well be experienced financial planners with little experience on establishing credibility on the internet with trust logos, pictures of themselves, write-ups of successful reps in their company, etc.. But this is even more important in Network Marketing. I would be extremely cautious here. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that this could be a great building block for the big picture down the road. Obviously the more people you get to come into the company the better. Honestly we can’t put all the information here or you might be reading forever. So your best bet is to take a few moments and get more familiar with their system and compensation plan. It might end up being just what you needed for your kids college, new braces, a new house, or any toy you might just want to have a little fun driving. It’s all up to you.

The first is that PTI lists itself as a multilevel market. You will find that with multilevel markets, also known as MLMs, the seller is often the buyer as well. You do need to be careful about this concept, as several of the so called MLMs out there are self-perpetuating scams; you only continue to get money if you continue to list others.
